Sue had a word of knowledge about somebody with scoliosis (curved spine) would approach us. Lo and behold a Christian lady and her two friends approach us and she has scoliosis. We pray for her and the pain is 80% better at the end. Her friends are both depressed and we pray for them and the Holy Spirit touches them and they feel much better. We prophesy over them as well.
Rob Gardiner and Kathy pray for two young people. One lady who has had a problem with her knee for years is completely healed and is amazed. Her male friend has a problem with the muscles in his wrist and he is mostly healed and gives his life to Jesus.
Some ladies who are promoting Virgin Media in Reading approach the team. All 3 have bad backs. 2 get healed.
We meet a lady called Bev, Jo has spoken to her and offered to pray for her. She declines because she doesn’t believe in God or if he existed, he probably isn’t very nice, but she is open to talking. At the half way mark of our time, Jo joins the team so we can intercede and Jo prays that Bev would be receptive later on to receive prayer.
Jo returns to Bev whose first words to her are “Before you go, you must pray for me.” Amazing!
She reveals she is a heroin addict and alcoholic and she fears losing her family if she can’t break the habits. We pray for restoration and breaking the power of addiction off her. She also has a bad back and we pray for that. She feels a warmth in her spine and inside and her back is 80% better. she is smiling as well. We ask her if she wants to invite Jesus in to her life and she does.
At the very end, just as we are wrapping up, Rob approaches us. He was the man who invited Jesus into his life at the end of October. When he came to us then, he had been sleeping rough, split from his partner, doesn’t have a job and is missing his 2 year old son. He had been begging so that he can hope to pay off his rent arrears.
His landlord has given him a few hours otherwise he will be kicked out. he invites Jesus into his life. We pray for him and give him some socks, food and drink and a few quid (after much thought as giving money is not usually a good idea). At one stage he says “I can’t sleep rough again” and weeps in front of us.
He moves away from us. What happens next? After leaving us he goes back to begging. A Christian approaches him and says “God has told me to give you this”.
It’s £50! He can pay off his rent arrears and stay in his bedsit.
Last Saturday he informed us of this and says he has just seen his son that week and had a great day and he also has a job interview this week!
He approaches us on crutches. He has recently been beaten up and has damaged ankle and broken ribs. We pray for this and he feels slightly better and moves away again, to get a hot meal.
Thank you Lord Jesus for what you did in these lives and for the privilege of being able to minister to hurting people.
A question: have you noticed that God is doing more at the moment? Have you experienced more salvations in your churches? What about healings? I’ve noticed far more demons also showing up and being dealt with. What about you?
Is God on the move??
