And unexpected healings….
I was in church the other day and I decided to have a prophecy time for a member of the congregation during the ministry time. I asked the woman in question to come to the front so that people could prophesy over.
During that time, I had my hand resting on her shoulder. People came up, prophesied: it was impacting.
At the end she said that while listening to the prophecies she was experiencing an incredible heat emanating from my hand, over her shoulders. She also explained that her shoulders and arms had been in pain because she had a condition that caused the pain, particularly if she had been engaged in any manual activity, which she had that afternoon. The condition in her shoulders was an ongoing problem.
As a result of the heat, all the pain from her shoulders had gone! She was able to shake her arms and move her shoulders around with no limitation or pain whatsoever.
I didn’t see her for two weeks, but last week she was in church, so I asked her how her shoulders had been. She looked surprised. She had forgotten all about her shoulders because she had experienced no pain since that Sunday.
And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all
There is no suggestion that Jesus prayed for any of these people. He was simply hosting the presence of the Holy Spirit and as people touched him, that power flowed out of him to heal them.
Jesus is the model for us all.
I want to challenge you. How much time in the week do you spend in the presence of God?
How much time in your week do you spend allowing the presence of God to fill you?
If the presence of God fills you, it will also flow out of you.
The presence of God accomplishes everything. Without it we are bereft, left to our own devices and our own limited resources.
Our resources won’t accomplish miracles – His presence will.
