After a car accident Rita was suffering with whiplash and pain. Two weeks on this was no better and she had her pain treatment upped including injections and appointments at the physiotherapist. Every night before bed Rita would have to take two pain killers to be able to sleep without pain. On the first evening of attending a new homegroup the homegorup leader offered to pray for the pain. During the prayer Rita knew something must have happened as she felt intense heat. That night, no pain killers were needed, nor the next morning. Six months on and still no pain treatment is needed.
Even though Rita had been a Christian for a long time and believed that God healed. She did not think to ask for healing for herself. Now, she knows that not only can God heal but he does so today and through us. God has met with her in an incredible way and her faith has taken a step upwards as a result. All too often we limit God based on our own experiences; we may say we know that God can do something but struggle to really believe it. When God breaks into our lives, and meets us in His own way, our thought patterns are changed and we start to act based on our new found faith.
